Important Notice

  • Every applicant MUST come to Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt for recording biometric data.
  • The available passport at the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt has 48 pages and costs €30 for each passport.
  • Fee of replacing a lost or stolen passport is €100.
  • The Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt does not provide either a 24-pages passport nor E-Passport.
  • The any kind of consular service fee is a non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another service/person/applicant.

Renewing a Passport and Applying for the First Passport

A passport is Surat Perjalanan Republik Indonesia (SPRI/travel document of the Republic of Indonesia) issued by Indonesian government to its citizen who intends to travel outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia and to reentry to Indonesia. There are three types of Indonesian passport, namely, a regular passport, service/official, and diplomatic passport.

Request for a regular passport is possible by complying with the determined requirements. The validity of a regular passport is 5 years since the issued date. Renewing passport can be processed at the earliest with a maximum of 6 (six) months before the expiry date of the passport.

A. Renewing Passport Because of its Expiry Date

 

Requirements of renewing passport for Indonesian citizen living in the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt:

  1. The self-registration number of Indonesian foreign authority in Germany. For those who do not have this number, please click here for LAPOR DIRI ONLINE.
  2. Current passport with a maximum of 6 (six) months before the expiry date.
  3. In the event a minor applying for renewing passport parental consent letter signed by both parents is mandatory
  4. A duly completed and signed application form (click here).
  5. Photocopy of a valid residence permit in Germany. (the original residence permit is to be shown to the consular officer).
  6. Photocopy of birth certificate.
  7. 1 (one) color biometric passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm with white/grey background.
  8. The transfer receipt (Überweisungsbeleg) for passport fee (€30). Please write the applicant’s purpose and name in the reason for payment column (Verwendungszweck), e.g. NEW PASSPORT for (applicant’s name).

If there is an amendment of the data passport, please provide an original copy of the supported documents regarding to those matters. For the consular fee and the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt bank account information click here.

  1. We recommend collecting your new passport at the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt. However, if you want to use the postal service, ensure you submit a self-addressed stamped return envelope with your application (preferably by registered mail).

 

B. Replacing a Damaged Passport

 

Requirements of replacing a damaged passport for Indonesian citizen living in the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt:

  1. The self-registration number of Indonesian foreign authority in Germany. For those who do not have this number, please click here for LAPOR DIRI ONLINE.
  2. A duly completed and signed application form (click here).
  3. The damaged passport.
  4. Photocopy of a valid residence permit in Germany. (the original residence permit is to be shown to the consular officer).
  5. Photocopy of birth certificate.
  6. 1 (one) color biometric passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm with white/grey background.
  7. The transfer receipt (Überweisungsbeleg) for passport fee (€60). Please write the applicant’s purpose and name in the reason for payment column (Verwendungszweck), e.g. NEW PASSPORT (a damaged passport) for (applicant’s name).

If there is an amendment or change of the data passport, please provide an original copy of the supported documents regarding to those matters. For the consular fee and the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt bank account information click here.

  1. We recommend collecting your new passport at the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt. However, if you want to use the postal service, ensure you submit a self-addressed stamped return envelope with your application (preferably by registered mail).

 

C. Replace a Lost or Stolen Passport

 

Requirements of replacing a lost or stolen passport for Indonesian citizens living in the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt:

  1. The self-registration number of Indonesian foreign authority in Germany. For those who do not have this number, please click here for LAPOR DIRI ONLINE.
  2. A duly completed and signed application form (click here).
  3. Police report documenting the incident of theft.
  4. Photocopy of the current passport.
  5. Photocopy of a valid residence permit in Germany. (the original residence permit is to be shown to the consular officer).
  6. Proof of Indonesian citizenship e.g. photocopy of Indonesian identification card (KTP), Indonesian driving license (SIM), or other Indonesian documents.
  7. 1 (one) color biometric passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm with white/grey background.
  8. The transfer receipt (Überweisungsbeleg) for passport fee (€100). Please write the applicant’s purpose and name in the reason for payment column (Verwendungszweck), e.g. NEW PASSPORT (a lost/stolen passport) for (applicant’s name).   9. If there is an amendment/change of the data passport, please provide an original copy of the supported documents regarding to those matters.

D. Renewing/Applying the First Passport for a Child’s Passport without Double Citizenship:

 

Requirements of renewing or applying the first passport for Indonesian child without double citizenship living in the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt:

  1. The self-registration number of Indonesian foreign authority in Germany. For those who do not have this number, please click here for LAPOR DIRI ONLINE.
  2. A duly completed and signed by parents’ application form (click here).
  3. Photocopy of child’s German birth certificate (Geburtsurkunde).
  4. In the event a minor applying for the first passport parental consent letter signed by both parents is mandatory
  5. Photocopy of birth certificate issued by Indonesian foreign authority where the child was born, or birth registration issued by the local German authority. (applied for those who was not born in Germany).
  6. Photocopy of parents’ marriage certificate/marriage book and/or marriage registration issued by the local German authority.
  7. Photocopy of the current parents’ passports.
  8. Photocopy of the valid parents’ residence permit.
  9. The transfer receipt (Überweisungsbeleg) for passport fee (€30). Please write the applicant’s purpose and name in the reason for payment column (Verwendungszweck), e.g. NEW PASSPORT (for applicant’s name). E. Renewing/Applying the First Passport for a Child’s Passport with Double Citizenship:

Requirements of renewing or applying the first passport for Indonesian child with double citizenship living in the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General Frankfurt

  1. Form of Indonesian Immigrated Facilities (children born after August 1, 2006) that has been filled out and signed by parents.
  2. The self-registration number of Indonesian foreign authority in Germany. For those who do not have this number, please click here for LAPOR DIRI ONLINE.
  3. A duly completed and signed by parents’ application form (click here).
  4. In the event a minor applying for the first passport parental consent letter signed by both parents is mandatory
  5. Photocopy of child’s German birth certificate (Geburtsurkunde).
  6. Photocopy of birth certificate issued by Indonesian foreign authority where the child was born, or birth registration issued by the local German authority. (applied for those who was not born in Germany).
  7. Photocopy of the child’s foreign passport.
  8. Photocopy of parents’ marriage certificate/marriage book and/or marriage registration issued by the local German authority.
  9. Photocopy of parents’ divorce certificate (when the parents are divorced) and/or acknowledgement of paternity (when the parents are not married).
  10. Photocopy of the current parents’ passports.
  11. Photocopy of the valid parents’ residence permit for parents with Indonesian citizenship.
  12. Photocopy of parent’s ID or the valid parents’ residence permit for parents with foreign citizenship.
  13. 1 (one) color biometric passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm with white/grey background.
  14. The transfer receipt (Überweisungsbeleg) for passport fee (€30). Please write the applicant’s purpose and name in the reason for payment column (Verwendungszweck), e.g. NEW PASSPORT for (applicant’s name). F. Information for Indonesian Tourists Regarding Lost Passport

For Indonesian citizens visiting Germany as a tourist or without a residence permit in Germany who has lost their passport, they will be provided with a travel document in lieu of passport with a charged fee of €10

Required documents for a travel document in lieu of passport are as follows

  1. Police report documenting the incident of theft.
  2. 2 (two) color biometric passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm with white/grey background.
  3. Photocopy of return ticket to Indonesia.
  4. Photocopy of passport (if available).
